The story
Mkomazi was upgraded to national park status in 2008 after years as a game reserve. It protects dry savanna, mountain views, rhino conservation areas, and habitat for rare wildlife.
The park became known for serious conservation work, especially rhino sanctuary and African wild dog recovery efforts, giving visitors a different side of Tanzania safari.
